“Turning emotional pain into strength”

Oftentimes when we lose someone, when a project or a dream falls apart, it’s hard for us to process the pain caused by such a loss. Pain, loneliness, despair, disappointment, irritation or betrayal are feelings we’d gladly do without.

In order to experience these feelings less intensely, we implement stratagems that generally create more suffering as we remain “stuck” with these difficult sensations.  We can deny the existence of pain, get depressed, try to explain it, avoid it, get angry, become obsessed with it or get fixated on memories or fantasies… Whatever the case, none of these options enable us to generate the strength needed to process the pain’s intensity.

Our body has a tremendous capacity to manage the pain caused by these losses. The workshop focuses on learning about that capacity.

The tools of the workshop:

The main tool for this workshop is your body. During this 6-hour course, you will conduct physical exercises to learn about how you reduce your natural capacity to process the intensity of pain. You will increase your body consciousness in order to become aware of the personal mechanism that prevents you from processing the pain. And you will acquire the tools you need to practice putting an end to this automatism so that your suffering can turn into strength.

Structure of the course:

There will be moments of explanation, demonstrations, individual practical applications of what you saw in the demonstrations and moments for exchanging.

If you don’t feel like doing an exercise, you are of course free to not do it. Your participation in this workshop must follow your own pace, without judgment and with full confidentiality.

 

Schedule: 10:00-13:00 and 15:00-18:00

Learning to set limits and daring to say no”

The day’s objectives:

  • To develop your capacity to refuse things that don’t suit you and to make sure your limits are respected.
  • To instantly notice when something bothers you and to have the option to express that.
  • To learn not to be too harsh or aggressive when you refuse something that someone you love asked you to do
  • To process old grudges, accumulations of anger or rage.
  • To have several options to refuse in an adequate way various situations in your daily life.
  • To feel free in your choices.

The main tool for this workshop is your body. During this 6-hour course, you will learn physical exercises that will enable you to notice how you reduce your natural capacity to set limits, to refuse and to not accumulate aggressiveness. This capacity is a physical strength, you will therefore be able to learn how you prevent that strength from being present in your body. You will acquire the tools you need to put an end to this automatism so that you can respect yourself and develop authentic relationships.
